Towards Liberation: Weekender w/ Françoise Vergès, Tania Safura Adam, Ibrahim Cisse & many more
On the Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st of June, Metro54 is hosting Towards Liberation a weekender as part of the artistic research project Cosmology of Care and Conviviality developed in collaboration with MEZEKƎRƎ (Vienna) and Recovery Plan (Florence).
Join us for talks and workshops from Françoise Vergès, Tania Safura Adam, Ibrahim Cisse & many more. Within this program, we have invited collaborators, friends and co-conspirators to gather and think together around the notion of working towards liberation, freedom work, imagination and solidarity. What methodologies, dreams and processes (re)shape the practices and daily lives of Black and other racialized artists, activists and cultural producers? How does liberatory work move beyond reaction and toward generation? Together with invited scholars, cultural workers and artists, we look forward to creating a collective space to think, feel, breathe and move through these questions collectively.
Food will be provided on the Saturday program, included with a ticket.
