Opening of SNAPSHOTS #7: Transition through Transmission
with Innavisions
You’re invited to the opening of Transition through Transmission, a new exhibition by Innavisions, on Friday, September 18th 2026, from 6pm at Metro54, Westerdoksdijk 597, Amsterdam. Click here to RSVP
At the centre of the exhibition and public program is the question of how knowledge, memories and cultural expression are passed on to the next generation of makers, thinkers, activists and youth within Black diasporic lifeworlds. In Transition through Transmission, Innavisions, together with invited guests, explores new dimensions within visual art and music by connecting with spiritual, cosmic and African (diasporic) forms of knowledge.
This exhibition moves between mediums; combining audio, video and print to build a sensorial environment. Together these works invite visitors to experience sound and image not separately, but as connected forms of transmission of culture.
Innavisions' practice is informed by the desire to develop a greater understanding of space and time and subsequently create a personal visual language. This language is informed by his connection to everything that is, and is not. He develops his creative perception of space and time primarily at night, when abstraction and a sense of connectivity are heightened through music.
