Meditations on Abdel Djassi by body_hacker

Join us next Friday July 17th for a performance by body_hacker (Sall Lam Toro), for this iteration of Diasporic Life: Black Solidarity/Towards Liberation. Body_hacker conjures a sonic trance that is both meditation, poetry, lecture and ceremony — bringing forward the anti-colonial and revolutionary legacy of Abdel Djassi (also known as Amilcar Cabral).

Body_hacker performs ‘Meditations on Abdel Djassi’ as an explicit shapeshifter and speaker to the subliminal parts of our exhaustion, everyday struggles and fight for a dignified life. This program urges us to call on the power of dreaming, with a sharp tenacity and unyielding imagination — until all of our comrades in their struggles are free.

Doors open at 18.30, with the performance starting promptly at 19.00. After the program, we will provide some snacks and drinks until our closing. Please contact us if you have any accessibility needs through info@metro54.nl.
