///LET ME READ YOU ROUGHLY
This film, rooted in a reading session Mosquito performed at the Burg Hülshoff — Center for Literature in Münster, weaves together stories, poetry, and reflection in a quasi-spiritual atmosphere. It could be a dark stand-up comedy show, if it wasn‘t a sit-down reading session: In LET ME READ YOU ROUGHLY, Nástio Mosquito reflects on life paths and the relationships we enter into in our lives. The show increasingly becomes a subtle guide to an unusual process – how to kill a friend, effectively. In a quasi-spiritual atmosphere, accompanied by 6 paravents as scenography, the artist stages a haunting yet cathartic reading performance.
///Conversation
The conversation between artist and research Barby Asante and artistic Nástio Mosquito reflects on interdisciplinary artistic practices in the afterlives of colonialism, storytelling and oral literature. The conversation will followed by a listening session/sounds by Selectas Mano and Francisco Sousa, will offer a journey true the groove from the music from Angola, Cabo Verde, Moçambique, São Tomé e Principe, from 70’s till now.
