Still not loving the police? Hoe zou een wereld zonder politie eruit zien?Op 12 maart organiseren we een gathering om vanuit persoonlijke verhalen, anekdotes en ervaringen de rol van de politie in Nederland te schetsen/ bevragen. Let’s get free: een toekomst zonder politie?, heeft als uitgangspunt niet alleen het afschaffen van gevangenissen, politie, of systemen van toezicht en straf omvat, maar juist hetgeen we ervoor in de plaats kunnen bouwen.
Met ‘Lets get free: een toekomst zonder politie’ willen we een start maken met hardop dromen over het einde van politiegeweld, etnische profilering en alternatieven voor politie.
De Assembly is een cypher of exchange en een ruimte voor ideeën, creativiteit en verbeelding. Met bijdrages van o.a. Daryll Landbrug, Veronique Aicha, Ruben Pater.

Still not loving the police? What would a world without police look like?
On March 12, Metro54 hosts a special gathering to question the role of the police in the Netherlands. With "Lets get free: a future without police" we start dreaming out loud about the end of police violence, ethnic profiling and start thinking about building alternatives to police. Through/By centralizing histories, anecdotes, and lived experiences, Metro54 and guests gather thoughts, practices, and actions around abolishing police practices and work/think/dream towards alternatives.
The Assembly is a cypher of exchange and a space for ideas, creativity and imagination. With contributions from Daryll Landbrug, Veronique Aicha, Ruben Pater and others.
