Last May, they set out from their native Stockholm on what they call a search for the unexpected that took them to Johannesburg. Aside of (performative) DJ sets by internationally acclaimed DJs Cooly G, D.R.E.E.A and Fred Hystere & Mahoyo collective at Butcher’s Tears.

The BOOM AFRICA EP is finally here! The collaboration between Metro54, We Love African Hip Hop, Kalaf Angelo, GMBisGeryMendes, Bamba Nazar, Okmalumkoolkat, Nástio Mosquito & many more.
The Boom Africa EP is exclusively released via okayafrica for the world to hear. This project was born out of the desire to create space for experiment and dialogue between/with various African sounds, musicians and word smiths, and we must say it still sounds awesome. Feel free to listen, share and dance to the tunes.
Merci to Neals Niat —the great illustrator and future architect from Brussels who gave a visual language to the music.
